Re: Complaint Thread
Oh my God, wow. Thank goodness she didn't wait! That sounds like a horrible experience.
Well, I ended up having to go to the emergency room last night. (My parents finally found the information for my own insurance they could give me, since my lovely school - who I'm getting insurance from - never mailed me my own card.) I first went to the doctor down the street, and he examined me and told me that I needed to go to the hospital immediately after seeing him, since he could not determine (without proper tests) what was wrong with me, and he was scared that it could have something to do with my appendix.
So, Tony took me to the ER, and it was quite an...interesting visit, to say the least. I had to be examined in placed I would have rather not been. Of course, I had to tell my same story about 10 times to 10 different people, lol. I then needed to get an ultrasound to see what was up with my abdomen, and I felt very much like a pregnant mommy. xD Following that, they gave me a cat scan. It was crazy, since the machine they put me in wasn't all enclosed like it is in the movies. It was circular, and there was the rotating thing inside of it. The doctors went into a different room behind a window like on TV though, and they spoke to me through speakers on the cat scan.
Well, after all that was finished, we got the test results back, and thank goodness it had nothing to do with my appendix. I actually had an ovarian cyst, and there was liquid too from another one having burst (probably the reason why I was in sudden, terrible pain last night). They said that there's really nothing they can do about them, and they usually just disappear on their own, or end up bursting like my other one did (gross!). So that means I may be experiencing some crazy pain again at any random point if my remaining cyst decides to go supernova. I ended up being discharged pretty late last night, and mind you, Tony and I both hadn't even gotten a chance to eat any dinner, so we were both starving. >.< I also need to drink a lot of water these next few days, because of some type of liquid they pumped into my IV for the cat scan, so that they could see my insides better.
So, the good news is, is that I'll be all right. The bad news though is that ovarian cysts can sometimes turn cancerous, and if that happens, they can be silent killers in women, since there are no symptoms. I'm hoping that that isn't likely though. I'm just thankful to know I don't need surgery.
...And now, I get to wake up and go to class! Ohh, life is insane sometimes. Stupid ovaries.

Well I'm really glad to hear that your ovaries failed to assassinate you. I'm really glad you went to the doctor's though, and didn't wait. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Re: Complaint Thread
LOL I'm definitely glad about that too! xD Yeah, I'm happy to have peace-of-mind from visiting the hospital now. If I ended up not going, I'd probably be very scared something was seriously wrong with me, like with my appendix. Yeah, exactly - better safe than sorry.
Aww, thank, hun!
Nope! I actually don't have to do anything. I could go to a gynecologist, which is what they recommended, so I'll have to see about that.
