Re: Question and Answer
Nanotechnology- Is there such things as nanomodification? As in, can nanonic implants be given to modify an organic body?

Great question, Riku! You know, I really like the idea of nanonics, and being that this is somewhat in the future, I don't see why we can't incorporate that into this mythology, especially considering nano technology is already underdevelopment today.
Basically, nanonics are a form of microscopic technology that may perform any number of functions and work within the human body to strengthen and control various sensory capabilities, store and recall information, and greatly enhance analytical brain activities. Some forms of this technology allows communication channels to open via these nanonic implants so that the receiver can actual see, smell, hear, etc. whatever is being communicated, usually via retinal implants. This is even an appealing technology for experiencing news events, as it literally places the consciousness of the “viewer” directly at the event as if they were in attendance.
While this technology is fully functional on Earth in the year 2020, not everyday citizens have this option open to them. Currently, it is restricted to test subjects, the military, the government, and people of great wealth. It would be very unbelievable for an average person to receive any form of nano implants at this point in time.

Re: Question and Answer
Before anyone brings it up, I'd just like to include that the different species in EthereaLights cannot crossbreed. It is biologically impossible for different species to mate and produce young. For example, an elephant and a rhino, while both from Africa and look somewhat similar, cannot reproduce. The same can be said for both the animals and humanoids in EthereaLights. However, there are some exceptions.
If you were to create your own species that is closely related to one already in existence, then it could be possible for your species and another to be able to give birth to a crossbreed. Also, the Provectus are a highly advanced species which are masters of technology. They would, through science, be able to create a hybrid of nearly any species, but not through traditional (sexual) means. They would need to accomplish this through science and technology.

ACE
The universal official money of EthereaLights is called ACE (Artificial Currency Exchange). It is digital currency which is kept track of via a micro implant inserted into the hand upon birth. The technology for this is remarkable, in that it responds to the person's thoughts, able to display the user's bank account information upon will in the form of a hologram, which appears and hovers over the person's hand. It is completely controlled with their mind, thus able to open, close, and access any information at just a single thought. In order to pay for anything in particular, all the person needs to do is wave their hand in front of an ACE scanner, which will instantly transfer the funds from their account. All modern beings throughout the universe make use of this type of money. Humans on Earth are just beginning to make use of this technology throughout the world.

Re: Question and Answer
Okay, this is more of an 'age scale' realted things. You say the Crittal has a lifespan of 400-450 years I'm just wondering what age scale would count as a 'young' Crittal? As in a Crittal that would be equivilant to a human who was in their late teens to early twenties. I ask because honestly I'm really bad with working out this sort of thing.

Yeah, I have to think about it myself. It's just mathmatics though. It'd be between 80-90 years old or so. That would be the equivalent.

Re: Question and Answer
Hey, I decided for all our benefits, it'd be a good idea to make this to help you all out! As you probably noticed, many of the species in EthereaLights live a lot longer than humans. So, how do you determine what age they should be to look a certain age? Let's say your character's race lives to be 200, but you only want your character to look like they are 15. What age, for them, is equivalent to 15 then? Well, here's how you find out!

Re: Question and Answer
Wow that's surprisingly simple. So lets see
100 divided by 19= 5.55555556 (greeat... This is where I always get stuck >>)
450 divided by 5.55555556= 80. (insert random pile of numbers here)
So I guess then my character should be about 80 then

Re: Question and Answer
Yep, if you want your character to look 19, then that'd be it. ^_^ Glad that helped! Yeah, the extra numbers would just be kind of like months. So if it's 80.5, then they'd be like 80 1/2 years old lol. Not really necessary.
