Re: What do we have to work with?
Hehe thanks for the help though!
Okay, well I've been working on making my second character.
Hopefully, he'll be all fleshed out by tomorrow. Once everyone creates their own character(s), then we'll be set to figure out what to do for an EL role play!

Re: What do we have to work with?
Hmm... My character is still pretty rough right now. But she's a fox Crittal called Lorna Sionn and I'm thinking she's a mechanic/engineer and she may or may not be on Earth I'm not sure right now, and also she's considered a bit of a 'freak' by Crittal standards because her magic is quite weak...

Re: What do we have to work with?
You know what I think would be cool?
If maybe, once we figure out the rest of the planet info, we do an rp which requires the characters we have to go to each and every planet for whatever reason. We could even make it where a new planet means a new rp. So now it's like a "series".
I dunno though, it was really just an idea that I thought of. I haven't though it through much. And if you don't like the idea, honestly, just say so. There will be NO hard feelings. Honest to goodness!

Hmm, perhaps like collecting little pieces of a puzzle key or some other ancient artifact to unlock some tomb or something? The pieces of the key were split and spread over the planets long ago by some secret order that wanted the contents on the tomb to remain hidden for whatever reasons...
Sound good?

Re: What do we have to work with?
Oh, very interesting ideas, you two! I love the idea of a series, Hope.
I've never done anything like that before, but that'd be really interesting! What does everyone else here think?
Perhaps the tomb belongs to the Provectus (I see them as usually somewhat secretive too). Perhaps it holds in it valuable information related to the universe, such as key bits of their technology and magic. They didn't want it to fall into the wrong hands (or have others steal it and take credit for it), so they decided it best to, rather than destroy it, simply put different "keys" to the tomb around the different planets? I just thought of all this as I was typing, so like Hope said, feel free to throw this idea down!! lol

Re: What do we have to work with?
I love the ideas! I think they are perfect and would probably be loads and loads of fun to do!
Now I'm getting really excited about starting it. This means, that I'm going to finish my science paper (which is 20% of my grade due today. EEK!) And then definitely figure out a good character!
Which planet would they start out on? Vaelzar? Or are they going to come from another planet, as they want heard "rumors" or something, and are seeking it out now.

Re: What do we have to work with?
That would depend entirely on whether we are starting the role play from scratch, for example all our characters must meet and learn about the keys and tomb of the Provectus (love the idea Syren!) and then set out to find out where the keys are. OR we could start as already all knowing each other and also knowing about the tomb and being on our adventure. So that way we dive straight into the action.
I don't really mind either way!

Re: What do we have to work with?
Hmmmmmm..That's an excellent point.
I hadn't actually thought about that. I guess it might depend on peoples characters. Perhaps we should make the characters, and figure it out then? I mean if they are reserved and quiet, they might not have friends. Or if they are a loner whos been on the hunt for years now, then again they wouldn't be together.
But thats why I suggest we make the characters, and then figure that part then.
In order to gain the keys though, is there going to be like some kind of "test". If so, I think the tests should revovle around some kind of like moral. ex: humaility, kindess, honesty, etc. I say this because if the Provectus didn't want people to get ahold of it, maybe they casted some kind of enchanment or something. Again, I dunno. I'm kind of just saying things that come to mind first.

Re: What do we have to work with?
(Oooh, good luck with the paper, Hope!!)
I like the idea of starting off as having already met or already knowing each other.
Usually, most all role plays (I've been in) tend to start off with our characters not knowing one another. That can get difficult, since it can be hard to justify meeting and then hooking up to accomplish something together. If we already know one another, then we'll probably feel less stressed about coming up with ideas for how to meet and how to start talking to one another, etc, and get more into the role play! How does that sound with everyone?
As for which planet we should start on... I guess that's up in the air! I think we should either start on Vaelzard or end on it.

Re: What do we have to work with?
That's a good point, Hope. (We posted at the same time lol!) We probably should wait then on each others characters.
Oh, that's a good idea! The Provectus, to ensure the keys aren't just found, but that they can't be taken, would likely cast an enchantment on them. They are wise like that! Wonderful idea.
I like that. That'd also add some interesting points to the story.

How about, as well as tests, guardian creatures? Like, ancient and massive beasts that we must overcome to get the keys?

Re: What do we have to work with?
Wow that sounds like a pretty cool plot idea. I can't think of anything to add to it right now but maybe I can think something up when I'm done with these assigments (just finished up the horse husbandry one yay) yeah some how I've never been good at making characters with mashussive powers or status. I guess I just find it boring. XD

Re: What do we have to work with?
That's fine with me too! Honestly, it doesn't matter to much to me!
I like the idea of guardians as well! Maybe they are actually are the ones giving the test? I mean like some may try and kill us for wahtever reason. But perhaps some put us in a difficult situation, an ex being: one must stay behind. Now I'm not saying that is what we'd use or anything, but I'm just making a point. XD
And back to the planets, perhaps there's only 5 keys, instead of 6. The leftover planet without a key will have the tomb maybe instead? And perhaps the tomb is on the planet Vaelzar? I mean if we do that, we can either start on Vaelzar which might have sparked the interest in finding the keys. Or being on another planet and either A) accidently finding a key or B) hearing about the key and going to search for it.
Personally, if you guys like that idea, I think I like the idea of starting out on Vaelzar better.
