How about this for a draft:

We start on Vaelzar as a group of explorers studying ancient ruins and accidentally stumble upon the entrance to the tomb and after studying some murals discover that it requires a combination of keys to open up the temple and reveal whatever lies within. Perhaps there is a reference to five keys and one character can put two and two together, or rather five and five, and discover that there must be a key on each of the other planets. So, being the curious explorers that we are we set off on an expedition to find the keys!

Comments and constructive criticism please?

That sounds like an interesting idea for a character, kodmeunkey! I like that.

Thanks, Tempest. Alright, for all our sakes, here is a description of what we have planned so far. (Some added info I included.)


This role play will be spread out into 6 different 'chapters', 1 role play per chapter/planet, but each will be a simple continuation.

The plot will revolve around a group of characters who begin their journey together on the Provectus planet of Vaelzar, some already having known one another. They discover an entrance to a sacred Provectus tomb whose contents are locked away. Upon further investigation, they uncover references to 5 various keys which are needed in order to unlock the entrance into the chamber. One or more of the characters realizes that this tomb could, in fact, be the vault that legends tell the Provectus locked their deepest secrets to their magic and technology in, so as to keep it safe. Each of the characters will have some deep desire to uncover these hidden secrets, and as such, they decide to embark on a journey to find these 5 keys.

The chamber hints that the keys are all located on different planets, so that they all cannot be found at once together. Unsure of which planets these could be, since there are almost infinite planets in the universe, the group must turn to research, some investigating the legends and tales of the tomb, others asking around, trying to get information. When they regroup, they all seem to share the same information on which of the 5 planets these keys are located on. Then their expedition can begin.

Not only must the group struggle to find the exact whereabouts of these different keys and where they are on each planet, but once found, they must face an ancient Divine Being that the Provectus sent to guard each key. These Divine Beings all have a test for those who wish to be rewarded with the key, some a test of wits and ability, others a simple test to slay the guardian Divine Being. Once all 5 keys have been gathered, the knowledge-seekers are at last free to unlock the tomb on Vaelzar, but not before meeting their final opposition in the form of the Provectus themselves.

(The last chapter will include the last planet the key is located on, as well as the return to Vaelzar.)

Oooh sounds good. Very Happy So far I've got this for how Lorna would come into this:
Whilst growing up on Bellua she was found to have in comparison to her fellow Crittals a rather low magic level and therefore was rather 'weak' but instead she was found to be quite good at mechanics and engineering and spent most of her time working on building and fixing things. So after a while of wanting to get off this 'forsaken crater' of a planet she signed her details up to some sort of employment network (kinda like a Job Centre) in order to find a job more in line with her skills and so then she took a job advertised as 'Mechanic needed for small expedition' and then pow ends up in the whole 'finding the keys' thing.

I love it! That fits in perfectly, and I love her little background story too. Very Happy We'll just have to remember to put out an add for her in the role play. ^_^

For your character though, you might just want to include in their Bio what species they are and what gender.

Well, I need to finish all the information on the remaining planets, so that everyone knows what the world we role play on is like. However, since the first role play is taking place on Vaelzar, I could work on that one first and at least complete that.

I'll try and finish that soon - I'm just in class all day.

Plus, we're still waiting on everyone to finish making their characters.
