In reference to Siren's post - I like a good combination of both sci-fi and fantasy. I guess if I had to lean one direction it would be fantasy, but sci-fi is really good. I like a nice mix of both. I also really like fantasy more directed towards mythology, where you at least have to know about something imparticular (i.e. - norse mythology, greek mythology). If I remember correctly, we both share the mythology nerddom, don't we?

I also do enjoy mythology quite a bit, Pheos. I used to be more into fantasy when I was younger. I still am (ie. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, etc.) - don't get me wrong - but medieval fantasy has worn on me over the years, I think lol.

Yeah, Tempest, I wouldn't mind getting a little role-playing going, so long as you don't mind if I take my time a little bit. I'd like to crank out info on the remaining creatures for this place and finish that up, so I've been trying to devote ore of my free time to working on EL, so I probably won't be able to post daily or even every-other-day, but it shouldn't take me that long to post. It really just depends on my schedule (the days I'm at school all day). Lol so yeah, I'm up for something. What did you have in mind, Tempest?

I was thinking of something leaning more to the science fiction side of things. I always liked the idea of a ship crew on an expedition or something. Any ideas from anyone?

Ohmygosh, yessss, Tempest! I've been playing a video game lately (Star Ocean) that is just like that! I'd love to do something like that for a RP. Have you guys seen Joss Whedon's Firefly, by any chance? It's set in the year 2517, after humans have arrived at a new star system, and follows the adventures of the renegade crew of Serenity, a "Firefly-class" spaceship. The ensemble cast portrays the nine characters who live on Serenity. Whedon pitched the show as "nine people looking into the blackness of space and seeing nine different things."

So, if we were going to go with the whole space exploration thing, maybe the crew we could have could consist of a captain, a second-in-command, a pilot, a mechanic, a doctor, an engineer, a navigator, a communications officer, etc.

I have seen Firefly and I loved it! I was actually thinking of it as I made my previous post! Coincidence or Fate?

A role play like that would be great! I am all for it! I think it would be best to start with getting everyone their roles and deciding the background and ship information. That way we can just make the storyline up as we go along in relation to the information.
