User Club Information - Read Before Creation

What are User Clubs?

A User Club is basically just a sub-forum that consists of one theme of the creator's choice. It can be any theme or topic that the member chooses, meaning anything off-topic of EthereaLights is allowed. User Clubs can be of any rating, but please rate your User Clubs in the title, just like you would a role play. Some examples of a User Club would be Harry Potter, Star Wars, World of Warcraft, an art club, a vampire and lycan club, a web design club, etc. You may even role play off-topic in your Clubs.

How do I start a User Club?

To start your own User Club, simply create a thread in the User Clubs category, giving the title of the thread the name you want your User Club to be (along with its rating). Then, simply state what your Club is, what it's about, and what everyone can talk about and do if they join your Club. If your Club becomes an official User Club, you will have your own sub-forum located in this section, and you will be allowed to have your own stickies there, if you like, for anything important. Also, when creating a Club, please be sure to make a member list in your first post to keep track of everyone.

How does my User Club become official?

In order for a member's User Club to become official/have its own sub-forum, the creator of the Club must have at least 10 members (including themselves), and must have at least four pages of replies to their club thread (that does not consist of spam). If you have met this criteria and would like to have your own sub-forum made, please PM Syren Song. Once your Club is official, Syren Song will start a sticky thread for you in your subforum, where you can list all of your members to keep track of.

How many User Clubs can I join and create?

You are allowed to create and join as many User Clubs as you wish - but remember, doing either requires responsibility. If you join a Club, you are agreeing to be active within it. If you create one, it is up to you to keep it going, to "moderate it," so-to-say, and to accept new members.

If I'm not in a User Club, can I post in one?

No, absolutely not. If you want to post at all inside of a User Club, you must ask the creator if you can be a member. If you post inside their Club and are not a member, your post(s) will be deleted. If you want to ask the creator of a Club if you can join, either PM them, or reply to their initial thread (their one in the Club Talk section).

Can User Club creators accept and deny members?

Yes, they can do both. A User Club is (almost) entirely an area run by the creator of the club. It is their piece of this message board, and they may run it how they choose, as long as it obeys the message board rules. The User Club creator can both accept and deny members, with or without reason.
